Mesa, AZ – Klaus Team Cares, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by Klaus Team Real Estate Solutions, recently stepped in to assist a local single mother facing a critical hardship by providing a one-time grant to prevent her water from being shut off.
The nonprofit was contacted by a social worker from an East Mesa elementary school who had become aware of the family’s situation. The mother had recently suffered an unexpected acute medical event that resulted in a life-altering diagnosis. As a result, she lost her job and began falling behind on bills, including her water utility. Shutoff notices from the City of Mesa Water Department quickly followed.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Klaus Team Cares issued a one-time grant by depositing a check directly with the City of Mesa Water Department, crediting the family’s account and ensuring that water service continued without interruption.
“We like to be able to work with the social workers to help our grant recipients maintain their anonymity when possible so that we can get them on their feet without too much exposure,” said a representative from Klaus Team Cares. “It’s about providing dignity and relief during a time of crisis.”
Klaus Team Cares is funded by donations made by Klaus Team Real Estate Solutions and its agents at the close of real estate transactions, in addition to generous contributions from community members. The nonprofit’s board of directors includes a mix of community leaders and three Klaus Team members, all united in their mission to serve local families in need.
